L-Ornithine / L-Tryptophan 1:1 GPH Capsules combine the significant properties of two amino acids that play an important role in human metabolism. L-Ornithine is an intermediate product of the urea cycle and is derived from L-Arginine. It is involved in the conversion of ammonia – a waste product of digestion – into urea, which is then excreted through urine. If the liver is overloaded, it can no longer effectively break down this nitrogen compound, allowing it to pass into the brain where it can trigger serious reactions. Additionally, L-Ornithine is a precursor for the synthesis of polyamines, which are important for cell division, as well as the formation of DNA, proteins, and blood vessels. It promotes restful sleep, particularly when liver function declines, which often leads to waking up at night. The essential amino acid L-Tryptophan is the physiological precursor of melatonin, a substance that regulates the circadian rhythm, and serotonin, a neurotransmitter that influences our emotional life. Both amino acids are obtained purely by fermentation and are present in equal amounts in L-Ornithine / L-Tryptophan 1:1 GPH Capsules.
